TRAPP and SCHNEIDER from Baden

I am seeking the family of Michael Schneider and Clementina Trapp. Their daughter Catherina Schneider, born 8.8.1833, supposedly in the Rhein-Pfalz or Baden (one source says Bayern, two say Baden). Another daughter, Maria, Schneider, born 8.15.1839.

The name of the town has never been determined. Catherine came to the U.S. circa 1853 and Maria came around 1858, and they moved lived in New York and then moved on to Illinois, where they raised their families.

Catherine married a man from the Rhein-Pfalz and Maria married a man from Alsace. My Schneider/Trapps were Catholic. Would you be familiar with any Catholic Trapp lines from your research?
Apparently our families came on probably the same ship, assuming you meant 1882 instead of 1822. I wonder how many of the town came at the same time? It's pretty much a german town from what the records looked to me when I went to their library. My grandfather was born in 1884 in Auburn the brother before him was born in June 1882 in Germany. Thanks for your info.

Sorry it took so long to get back. Yes, Art and Catherine used to come out to the farm in Dassel when I was a little boy. I used to play with Barbara. I still don't know how they fit in to the family. Hope you can help. Bob was a young man then and he used to play with my brother. It I remember correctly, he died at a young age. The family used to come out to the family picnics in the summer. I still have some pictures of them. How do they fit in to the Comer family? I live in Hutchinson now, but still have a cabin on Little Swan lake in Dassel. Please reply. Deane Dietel

Re: Jeremiah Smith Baden

Hi Alfred,
J.S. Baden was my g-g-g grandfather!. I'm just getting into the Baden side of the family so I may not have as much info as you'd hoped. But:
if you go to the Church of LDS site (familysearch.org) and enter Jeremiah Baden in FL, it brings up the 1880 census. It lists J.S. Baden and A.L. Baden, their birth years, birthplace, parents' birthplace, etc. It also lists their children! I knew that they had a daughter named Susan Frances Baden because she is my g-g grandmother(married William Able Roberts). It says the census place was precinct 6, Suwannee, FL.
I know that Jeremiah's father's name is Thomas George Baden.
A woman that i came into contact with on the internet has two cousins who are working on the baden side of the family. they are trying to physically locate the family cemetery of Capt. James Baden. there is talk of building subdivisions in the area and they(we) don't want this to happen in the area of the cemetary. Since Thomas George Baden was buried April 1842 at Capt. James Baden's place in Baden, MD and this is written in the church register(St. Paul's Church--you can enter that and Baden, MD on a search and get the history of the church) we have a direct family link to someone interred there. They are wondering if we(direct descendents) would be willing to get involved, write a letter, etc.
J.S.'s CSA pension records for FL are A03158 and can be ordered from the FL Archives. The phone# is 850-245-6700. He was in CSA 47th inf., Co E, per the pension claim.
email me with any questions.
my question is what is through whom are you related to JS and Angelina Baden?
Jennifer Roberts

Elisabeth Baden from Oldenburg, Germany b. abt. 1810

Anyone have an Elisabeth or Elizabeth Baden born about 1810 in Oldenburgh. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and was married to John Henry Pille, also from Oldenburg. Together they had John Henry Pille Jr. around 1840, and John Benjamin Pille June 26, 1843. I assume her husband died before 1860 because Elisabeth shows up in the Ohio Census as the head of the householdwith with the spelling "Pilly".

Anyway, if anyone connects to this family, please reply to this message.
Thanks.

He was born in 1844 in Peterboro, Ontario Canada. I believe her parents were from Scotland. They moved in 1880 to West Virginia and settled in Cabell County, WV.

I have family photos passed down to me of some Badens but don't know their relation to Ann. The names written on the back of the pictures were James Baden (pic taken in Ingersoll Ont), George Baden (pic taken in Minneapolis, Minn.) and Francis Baden (pic also taken in Minneapolis, Minn.).

If anyone has any info on any of these folks, I would certainly love to hear from you!
