Do you have Jack's actual name? Also, was Badley Ellen's maiden name or her name after she married Jack? There were several Badley families that settled in Idaho. Have you searched the LDS site? Some are listed there. Let me know if you have any further information. Jack's parents would be helpful. I have quite a bit of information about the Badley family. Also, a couple of books concerning the Badley family in America.
I noticed that your name is Orland. I have been searching for a Minor Arlando Badley, born 04 October 1862 at Sedgewick, Kansas and died 16 February 1940 at Roy, Hardin County, New Mexico. He was married to Laura Johnson on 07 November 1888 at Wichita, Kansas. They were the parents of four (4) children, two boys and two girls. The girls were named Alma and Bessie. We do not know about the boys names. Minor Arlando and Laura were divorced 1915 at Wichita, Kansas. He apparently moved to New Mexico around the time of the divorce. Laura and the children were never heard from again. The family has always thought that Laura possibly changed the last name of the children, but no one knows for sure.
Have you ever heard his name? It is interesting that your name is similar. Please, let me know whatever additional information you have. I will be happy to help.
Sincerely,
Robin Rice Badley
