Feb 08, 2008 - 16:07:35 CSTSAVOY — Charles Clyde Baecht of Savoy was born Jan. 30, 1935 in Grafton, Ill., to Clarence and Myrl Baecht and passed from this life Feb. 7, 2008 at 7:25 a.m.
When Charles was 3 years old, his family moved to Denison. On Sept. 10, 1955, Charles married the love of his life. Donella Giles. Charles was well known for his superior auto body and paint work. He loved farming and working in his yard until ill health forced him to retire. He was of the Baptist faith, having been baptized at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Myrl Baecht; sister, Alice Holcomb; and brother, Tony Baecht.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donella; sons, Dennis and wife, Lee, Charles (Ted) and wife, Debbie, all of Savoy; daughter, Lisa Hightower and husband, Brian of McKinney; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Dixon of Omaha, Neb., Jessie Hawkins of Pottsboro, Nancy Richards of Denison; and brothers, Buddy Baecht of Fort Worth and Robert Baecht of Denison.
Papa, as we miss you and grieve for you, we also celebrate the life and love shared with us. You now have new legs that work and can take you all over God’ beautiful heaven!
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/ Savoy and Memorial service at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. James Seigler of Celeste.
