Baff family in the UK

Posted: 23 Aug 2009 7:05AM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: Baff, Baugh
We Baffs are used to our surname being mispelled or pronounced, but in the last six months I've found yet another variation.
BAUGH
yes, Baugh (sounds like laugh)

In the US it's pronounced as "Baw"
As a Scot I would tend to say "Baw - ch" (ch as in loch)
It opened up a whole new ball game for me, my apologies if you'd already made the connection.
