Bagaço Family

I am looking for information on any of these
people:

Fernando Bagaço married Acenção Madruga

This marriage took place sometime in the early 1900s (1930s I'm guessing)

They had two children:

Maria Fernanda Bagaço
Fernando Bagaço

I have no dates unfortunately.

I know that Acenção Madruga was born in Lajes do Pico, Ribeira do Meio, Açores between 1900 - 1910 (again, I'm guessing)

Thanks for the reply. I went to Pico in 2002 and stayed a couple of days with José Bagaço, Fernando's brother. I met José's son (also José) who works for the power plants in Faial. I went to Ribeiro do Meio and met with Manuel Bagaço as well. I ran into an Arturo Bagaço, a son to another Bagaço who used to be a whaler. However, when it was outlawed, he went into depression and is now bed-ridden.

You married Francisco Bagaço's nephew. Can you tell me where you live and who you married? I would love to get whatever information you're comfortable giving me so that I can fill in the details on the Bagaço side.

I married Christian (son of Jose Fernandes Pereira - brother of Francisco.) We live in the greater Toronto area, Ontario Canada.

Hi Peter,

Referring to your questions about this Bagaco family:

Fernando Bagaco - we don't know who he married but we do know he had 2 kids that we know of. His son is Joe Bagaco and he still lives in Ribeira do Meio. He worked for one of his distant cousins Francisco Bagaco - owner of the bakery.

Fernando also had a brother whose name was Jose Bagaco. He had 4 kids, 2 boys and two girls. Two live in the Azores, one lives in Mass. U.S, and one lives in Toronto, Canada.

I'm married to Francisco Bagaco's nephew.
