Looking for the identity of the Bagby who married Lucinda Marguerite Sinks. This Bagby was born in Illinois based on the 1880 Census enumeration. Lucinda they had three known children all born in Illinois:

1. Alonzo William Bagby, b. February 6, 1864;
2. George Bagby, b. about 1865;
3. Anna Laura Bagby, b. February 16, 1871.

After becoming a widow, Lucinda second married John Campbell Reed in March 1876. Lucinda was John Reed’s second wife. Lucinda and John C Reed lived in Pulaski County, Illinois, where they had two children:

1. John C Reed, Jr., b. February 1881;
2. Ona B Reed, b. February 1883.

At the time of the 1880 Illinois Census for Grand Chain in Pulaski County, Lucinda is found with Jno C Reed with her three Bagby children in the household, as well as John’s son Johnson (Robert Johnson Reed) from his first marriage.

Lucinda died in 1886 in Pulaski County, Illinois.

- Alonzo William Bagby is next found in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 California Census’ for Fresno, Fresno County, California. He married Harriet (Hattie) Belle Gibbons, a California native, about 1893 in California and they had three children:

a. Roy W. Bagby, b. July 1, 1895; d. April 30, 1943, Santa Cruz, California.
b. Olive F. “Ollie” Bagby, b. November 16, 1897; d. March 9, 1987, San Jose, Santa Clara County, California; m. Tracy Philip Hammond.
c. Helen Bagby, b. September 13, 1901; d. 01/20/1989, San Mateo, California; m. Ray T. Ebert.

Alonzo Wm Bagby, d. June 8, 1945 in Santa Cruz, California. The 1900 California Census indicates his father was born in Kentucky and mother born in Tennessee. The 1910 California Census shows United States and United States, while the 1920 California Census lists unknown and unknown.

- George Bagby – no record has been found after the 1880 Census enumeration.

- Anna Laura Bagby, d. November 19, 1952 in Ventura, California. She was married to an unknown Carter. The only known record of Anna Laura after the 1880 Illinois Census is found in the California Death Index.
