Hi there, I realize that the post I am replying to is quite old. I was just hoping and wondering if you may have any family history for the bagnell side, starting with William Bagnell, I have previously chatted with Jennifer Witham but we have lost touch. Any info would be greatful thank you.

Bagnalls in Calisle, Cumberland

Hi

I'm looking for Bagnall family, who in 1851 census claim they are from Carlisle. There is no trace of them at the 1841 census or 1861. Ellen & her sisters Ann & Mary are living in the same house in 1871 (with my great great GrandfatherGeorge Oliphant + his sister Charlotte) In 1881 Ellen is living in a house where my great grandfather John Oliphant is a little boy (his father is living in Newcastle & mother is in hospital).

I am fascinated why this woman would take care of two generations of my family, who are the hardest for me to track down, despite having a distinctive name.

Any help grateful

Thanks

Lynne

Emm Bagnell, (black female) b. 1849 in Missouri, is listed as a servant to the Crotty family in the 1900 Galveston, Texas census.

I've been researching the 1900 Galveston Hurricane and this census was taken about three months before the Hurricane hit. Hopefully this information will be of help to others who are also researching the victims and survivors of this Hurricane.
I am not related to this family, just passing on this information. The link for the site is listed below.
Joyce

http://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/tx/galveston/19...

Hi. My name used to be Jo-Ann Helen Bagnell. My father's name is James N Bagnell. He has a brother in Bloomington/Normal IL named David Bagnell. Uncle Dave was married to Mary Jane. He was also famous for introducing us to chocolate chip pancakes. They had several children. I'm not sure I can remember their 'real' names, but a couple of nicknames were PeeWee, Woody, and Mort. I know there were more, but it is terrible to say, I don't remember them. Were you born in Bloomington/Normal, IL? Are your parents Dave & Mary Jane Bagnell? Please respond either way. Do you know about the Bagnell Dam and the city of Bagnell, MO? Take care.
Jolen
