I am interested in finding additional information On Mr. Albert Bahler. My Grandmother, Lucy Bahler, was born in 1905 in the US and then moved with her family to Cuba and was wondering if Mr Albert Bahler was realted.

Anna Maria Bayler's sister, Maria Eva Elisabeth Bayler was my 4th ggrandmother. My ggrandfather, John Robert Luppold, came to Boston from Johlingen in 1866. Interested in other family members who came to Boston and their descendants.

I went to Midland and Detroit 8 years ago. I´m sure Bahlers and mine are related because I´ve learned that they emigrated from Europe at the same time during WW II. Some went to North America and some to South America.

I am related to the Bahlers through my mother's father's line. That is, my mother's father, Arthur Rudolph Roselle's mother was Lena Bahler, who's father was this Rudolph Bahler who came to America in 1881. My Bahlers settled in Michigan in 1882, after Rudolph Bahler's wife (Anna Portner) and the little children came over through Ellis Island. I live in California.

I thinks all Bahlers from Switzerland emigrated around WW II. For what I know my family is originary from Bern.
My dad who passed away, was talking to a Rudolf Bahler in Munich few years ago trying to figure out if they were or not related. There are quite few Bahlers in Argentina. I don´t recall seeing the name Rudolf aon a familly tree I saw about ten years ago. I saw Hermann, Alexander as the first ones in Argentina.

When did your Bahlers emigrate from Switzerland? My great great grandfather, Rudolph Bahler, was born 27 Dec 1843 in Blumenstein (I think) and emigrated to America in 1881. He supposedly had a brother who emigrated to Argentina and raised sheep. The family lost touch with the brother (possibly Jacob?) around World War II.

Do you know if there is a connection between the Bahler family you just described and that of Albert Bahler (from France). Albert was born 1880 and married Minnie Anna Buck on May 28, 1910 and lived in Lafayette.

My grandfather lived in Sugarcreek,Ohio. His name was Gotlieb. He had a brother, I believe who was a doctor there and a street bears the Bahler name. He,Gotlieb, then moved to near Louisville,Ohio. He had three sons and one daughter. My father's name was Walter and there were 15 children.

I am searching for information on the BAEHLER family of Buchholterberg, Switzerland. Christian BAEHLER was born about 1813. He was a shoemaker. He came to the US in about 1853, was married twice and died in 1865. He lived in ST. Louis. A son, Friederick Alexander, lived in New Orleans and was a pharmacist.

Interesting you should ask. I actually know one of Albert's grandsons - we both grew up in the area of Jasper and Tippecanoe counties and now both live on the east coast. But we never knew each other growing up, and only met by accident not long ago. And both of us checked with our dads to see what they knew. Each of them had heard of the other, and had recalled that their dads knew each other as well, but no known connection has ever able to be determined or established. Interestingly, everyone came from Switzerland so there must be a connection. But what it is we do not yet know.

Bähler I cannot find in my files. Unless you
are mistaken about the wedding date and the
spouse's name, the closest match I have is a
Rudolf Bähler, b. @ Innerbirrmoos, Bern Canton,
Switzerland on 25-Apr-1817.

in Riverside, California. m. Luella Catherine
Cameron in Stark, Ohio, on 4-Sep-1910.
I do not have his father listed, but there
are a couple of possibilities, depending on
when and where he was born.
I do show 15 children of your dad, but the
only names I have are Atlee J. Cameron?,
b. 30-Oct-1912, d. 2-Mar-1989, and Richard
Baehler,b. 16-Aug-1925, d. 16-Aug-1925.
All the other children, including yourself,
were living and the source decided to keep

I do genealogy research and while transcribing Union Cemetery in Redwood City CA. I found a Christian Bahler born 3/8/1923 Watenwil Bern Switzerland died 3/18/1891 (go to www.findagrave.com) I received a message from Brent Bahler of Alexandria VA who said that Christian was his 2nd gr grandfather.
