Re: Bahnemanns in St. Paul, Minnesota

Hi Terry,

I am also tracing a different source of the Bahnemanns. The tree that I have is for a Milton and Albert Bahnemann. Unfortunately the tree that I am following seems to have stayed in the Afton area. Then moved in to St. Paul. Roseville area (Rosetown to exact) There might be a relation between the two. I am not sure. I can not seem to get past a Ferdnand Bahnemann. And even that name is sketchy.

Bahnemanns in St. Paul, Minnesota

I am looking for relatives or info about a family of Bahneman(n)s that lived in St. Paul in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The husband was George Godfrey Bahneman. I'm not sure if he went by George or Godfrey. He came from Berlin. The wife was Christine Bahneman. She came from Castle (Cassel?), Germany. The husband was a grocer in St. Paul. They had these children: Carl (or Charles), Laura Minnie Bahneman born in 1885 and died in North Dakota in 1961, Louisa, Jeannette (or Jennie), Elsie (died young), Violet, George, and John. The parents and the oldest children are listed in the 1880 census. Christine may have married twice. Her name in her 2nd marriage may have been Christine Lehman. There is a Christine Lehman in the Minnesota death records that died in 1931. Thank you for any help. Terry Lee
