I have traced my family back to when they came to this country in 1909-1910. John Dominick Baier, Barbara (Polick ) Baier; children: John Peter Baier, Natalie Anna Baier (or Anna Natalie Baier),Walter Baier and Ludwig Baier. I was told that Ludwig was born on the boat on the way over here. They came from Lituania, Russia, Germany? They are Polish maybe some German. Can any one help me with this? I need to find the ship and port they came in on and country of origin. They all lived in Detroit, Michgan. I was also told that Ludwig Baier was the inventer of the Baier Hatches, he owned the company. He was a ship builder out of Portland Oregon. Natalie married Stanley T. Duchesne and moved to New Hampshire. Walter Baier I have only met once. Grandpa John told me he liked to box.
