Hello! I received a message from your son re the post I entered a few years ago. When I finally saw your answer, I was not sure if anyone would see my reply. I was very excited to hear back just today. I was with my parents for Thanksgiving; they are almost 89 and almost 86. My dad always spoke so fondly of your dad, whom he called "Papa-san" Also, I'm pretty sure that it was your dad that Daddy credited with teaching him about mixing peanut butter & butter together, on the side of his plate, as a little treat. My mom and I stayed at your house in Momote Village after she had a miscarriage. I will have to look at my parents' house for the photos of the Bailes' kids sitting on the front steps with me. I would have been 5, at that time. Is there some way that I could send you my email address? If you could send copies of photos of your parents, especially in the years after Japan, I would love to show them to my mom & dad. Also, if you happen to have Japan photos, it would be great to see them. Thanks so much for getting in contact. Will wait to hear from you.
Edie Kendall Robertson (My dad is Riley, and he has always called my mom Butch.)
