I am direct descendant of Gilbert (b.1772) and Jane Myers(b.1773) Bake of Dacre, though their son William (b. 1805) and Sarah Bake, through their son Gilbert (b.1833) and Susannah Gilmore Bake. Gilbert Sr. family came to PA. in 1831 with 4 sons; daughter Jane Bake Addyman (b. 1802, m. John Addyman, 2 sons, 1dau) stayed behind in Dacre York.
I have put the will of Gilbert Sr.(d. PA c.1849) in a Word Document which I'm happy to share. Also I have visted Dacre and the church where they were members (have never seen reference to it being Quaker, just "Independent" in all the church records) and where daughter Jane B. Addyman and her family are buried.
After father Gilbert died c.1849, one son (Gilbert Bake b. 1799)) went to Ohio; Joseph M.(b. 1815) and Rebecca Sampson Bake ( 8 children) were in Niagara, Ontario in 1881 Canadian Census; Mother Jane Myers Bake lived with William and Sarah Bake in 1850 Rostraver Twp, Westmrld Co., PA. census and died before 1860 census. Son John Bake (b. 1807) may never have married and lived with William's family, both died in Pa. I know very little about the 11 children of William and Sarah, except for my great grandfather Gilbert whose Family Bible I have.
Happy to share any info I have and happy to receive what I don't yet have!
