I would like to correspond with anyone researching Martha (nee MOORHOUSE) BAKE and her descendants. Martha was born in 1795 or 1796 near Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Martha (MORRELL) and Samuel MOORHOUSE. She married Nathan BAKE 1 February 1813 at Ripley parish church. They lived at Hartwith with Winsley and Darley and had at least 9 children: William, Nathan, Samuel, John, Christiana, Susannah (who married William ABBOTT), Ellen (who married James SUTCLIFFE), Mary and Ann. The twins Nathan and Samuel were baptized at the Roman Catholic chapel at Nidd Hall in 1820. Five children were baptized at St. Jospeh's Roman Catholic Chapel at Bishop Thornton near Ripon. Martha died in 1846 in Hartwith parish. I do not know where she was buried.
