BRYAN ANDREW BALBOA "ROCKY" Born October 30, 1959. Bryan passed away at Indianapolis Methodist Hospital on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, as the result of injuries and complications from a motorcycle accident on September 26, 2004. Surviving is his wife, Claudia (Christian) Balboa of 21 years, married on September 30, 1983; son, Justin Balboa; daughter, Kady Balboa, all of Valparaiso. Also surviving are his parents, Richard (Carol) Balboa of Orland Park, Illinois, Audrey (Harold) Hayward of Valparaiso; his brothers, David Balboa of Des Plaines, Illinois, Adam Balboa of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Rex Balboa of Lombard, Illinois, Julian Balboa of South Elgin, Illinois, and Robert Hayward of Valparaiso; and many nieces and nephews. Rocky worked at Bethlehem Steel/ISG for 27 years; he leaves behind many great friends. Rocky graduated from Valparaiso High School, starring in football for the 1975-76 State Champion Team. Bryan loved his family, friends, music and his Harley. We will all miss you dearly. A Private Family Gathering will be held. Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe, Valparaiso, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. A Tribute/Benefit will be held at the Westport Community Center, 1237 Westport Road, Burns Harbor, (located off of Hwy. 149 & Rt. 12) on Friday, December 3, 2004 from 5 until 11 PM.
