Hola Carmen: Coats of arms (escudos) can be viewed easily, if available. There are always people willing to show an "authentic" escudo or "crest' , and to sell you one along with "an embossed" family history, so be wary! Simply use any search engine and type the surname and escudo. for example BALDERRAMA ESCUDO and you can view it, often in color. But keep in mind that different branches of the line can offer different escudos, some of them resembling each other, and some radically different from ea. other. as for acquiring an escudo: simply download it, they are nice in color. I would caution: dont be in a hurry... do your research before you pay ANYONE for anything. What the heck, if you draw well you cam copy it yourself. A study of the SINIFICADO of the various elements in the escudo, and their meanings can be interesting, as well. The same people who offer them also offer a history, usually military, of that shield, because Spanish escudos were acquired according to military prowess. again, be sure that it IS of your line before you shell out bucks. good luck. Are you related to the Balderramas of Satevo Chihuahua? Antonio Perales del H
