Ok so I found them living in 1900 in the same place as they are in 1910. And charles listed his age as having been born in DEC. of 1866 which puts him about 16 when they married. while that is possible back then if he might have been an orphan he still would have had some kind of guardian maybe. but then Benjamin was born according to the census in 1881 and if they didnt marry until 1882. then it is possible that they married in MISS. since that is where Benjamin was born according to the 1900 census.

I wish I could help more than telling you things you probably already know. I hate Brick Walls. They are hard to get thru but maybe when the 1940 census comes out it will shed more light on this family for you. I would be interested in hearing if you ever find out for sure who his parents were.
