Esther Ballay (her real name was Esther Wencl) was part of the Joseph Ballay/Elizabeth Gazda household in the early part of the 20th century. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Gazda and Johan Wencl, her real name being Esther Wencl and she had a brother named Rudolph "Rudy" Wencl. She married George Roth and had 4 or 5 children that still have children that live in northern Indiana.

She was buried in Crown Point, Indiana, I believe.
