Onezime Ballay
16 Apr 1919, Louisiana

married

Marie Louise Foster
abt. 1921, Louisiana
daughter of Francis Leslie Foster and Mary Barbara Meyer

Francis Leslie Foster
13 Dec 1894, New Orleans, Louisiana
a son of John J. Foster and Mary Ellen Wheeler

I'd like to find out more information on Mary Ellen Wheeler's father, John Roger Wheeler, born abt 1824 Maine. Although Mary Ellen's birth certificate states the John Roger is from Massachusetts. John Roger died about 1860 at Southwest Pass, Burrwood, Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. He was the first husband of Bridget Mullins Wheeler Conner, my maternal great great grandmother on the Conner side.
Re: Esther Ballay

Esther Ballay (her real name was Esther Wencl) was part of the Joseph Ballay/Elizabeth Gazda household in the early part of the 20th century. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Gazda and Johan Wencl, her real name being Esther Wencl and she had a brother named Rudolph "Rudy" Wencl. She married George Roth and had 4 or 5 children that still have children that live in northern Indiana.

She was buried in Crown Point, Indiana, I believe.
