Here's four tibits of links with some info on him. Seems like there might have been a story on him in one of the Ballew Family Journals over the last thirty + years. I'll keep this posting in mind while I'm currently working with all them researching and let you know if I run across the article. Seems like I've seen him and two other brothers that died in the Navy after their ship was sunk.
