I am looking for any information on the family of Franz A. Bollig (s/o F. A. Bollig and Elizabeth) of Dane Co., Wisconsin? I believe he was born in Germany 11 Apr 1812 and came direct from Germany arriving 16 Oct 1854. He and his wife, Elizabeth Garlanburg, had six children (five sons and one daughter). In an article written in the "History of Dane County", 1880, it states that two of his sons were living in Minnesota and one in Iowa. It also states that the whole family belonged to the German Catholic Church. I am hoping that one of these sons might be another Franz Bollig/Ballig who married Melvina Miller in Perry Co., Indiana, 11 Mar 1882. I would appreciate any information that anyone has.
