Hello! I am trying to make sense out of all the Henry Balthasers that seem to have been wandering around Fairfield County, Ohio and Berks County, PA between about 1750 and 1850.

I am a direct descendant of Henry BALTHASER who married Susan KESLER in Fairfield County on March 27, 1856. He was born in Reading, PA, on April 13, 1833, the son of Henry BALTZER and Sarah RATHENBERGER. I believe it was this Henry (husband of Sarah) who came to Fairfield County. His other children (by two wives) were John, William, Beneville, and Samuel (by first wife Susanna??), and another Samuel, Sarah, and Catherine, in addition to Henry, (by Sarah Rathenberger).

I would appreciate any confirmation of these names and dates. I would also like to know what relationship, if any, the Henry who went to Fairfield County bears to the Johann Jacob Balthaser who stayed in PA. Information on the LDS site (Family Search) suggests a relationship because the informant on both lines is the same person, but no relationship is actually drawn.
