My name is David Jon Baltzell. I am writing a genealogical book for my children of our family linage. I have a genealogical map made in 1963 that traces my lineage as follows: John Jacob Baltzell (son of Benedict Baltzell), Capt. Charles Baltzell - fought in Revolutionary War (John Jacob's eldest son), Major Charles Baltzell - fought in War of 1812 (Charles Baltzell's only son), John Thomas Baltzell who came to Ohio with his wife Caroline Elizabeth Souder (Maj. Charles Baltzell's son), Henry Clay Baltzell (one of 7 of John Thomas Baltzell's children), then to William Thomas Baltzell- my g-g-grandfather, William McCullough Baltzell- my grandfather, and then William Louis Baltzell- my father. Whew! I've been able to fill in the blanks around Benedict and John Jacob, but any information is usefull and much appreciated. My map has a lot of families and dates that married and I will share anything I have.

Almost all of my Baltzell family relatives live in Ohio, my dad in Detroit with my two sisters, and I live in Arizona with my younger brother near by. I am the oldest of all the cousins and brothers and sisters at age 32. Thanks and I hope this helps others in their search.
