For the life of me I cannot find where John Baltzell born abt 1782 in Maryland and died in Union CO Illinois ties to any of the Baltzell's from Maryland. He was married to Catherine Benard. The census show that he was born in Maryland. I have seen several Family Tree's trying to say this is the John who died in Maryland in 1840. Not so as he was on the 1850 census in Union Co with his son John Jr. Others have tried to say it was John Jacob, son of George Jacob. Again not so. My gggg-grandfather John T's father was suppose to have been a Henry but evidence is starting to point to John and Catherine being his parents.
