I am searching for others with the last name Bamba. My father was Alberto Ancheta Bamba born in July of 1942. He passed in september of 2007, and his mother (my grandmother) Ursula Ancheta Bamba passed in October of the same year. Her maiden name is Ancheta. I do not know my grandfather's name as he passed long before I was born; and know that most of my dad's side of the family currently resides in California. Both of them are from Ilocos, Philippines. I don't know if it is north or south Ilocos, but am hoping that someone might have some info. I am trying to build our family tree and am hoping to find other relatives with the same last name. Does anyone know where the name "Bamba" comes from? If you can help me, pls send a message! Thanks!
