Thanks for all the information. It is so hard to believe. I had often wondered if William Bamber had brought any other family from England with him. Most of the information of the Bamber family that I have was from some history books of Brown County, Ohio.
My father, Ralph Bamber, grew up in Fayetteville, Ohio. He had bought these history books about 15 years ago. After reading these books, we found information about our ancestors. We also learned from the books where William was buried.
Just about two years ago, I met someone from Fayetteville by the name of Ada Holden, who is a descendant of Agnes Bamber, one of William's daughters. She gave me a copy of a story of how the Bambers and Holdens came to America.
She also showed me the private Bamber and Holden cemetary high up on a hill where Elizabeth Bamber, wife of William, is buried. The gravestone is now sunken into the ground. I can send you some information of what she gave me if you're interested. I am very interested in learning more about our Bamber family. My e-mail address is JMBamber@aol.com
. Thank-you again.
