I am decendant of James Hampton Bamburg and Louisa Keith Bamburg and have family all or Nachitoches and surrounding areas - it is ironic with Hapton in the names and same parts as many people shared family member names - please contact me with any information you may have - adam.foley@att.net

Billy where do you fall in in the Bamburgs in Coushatta? I am related to what I thought was most of the population out there lol. I am trying to get a family tree together from as many sources as possible. Are you any decent or relation to James Hampton, Frank, or Robert Earl?

I am also resaerching Bamburgs but as far as I know in central/ northern Louisiana - do you have any ancestors by the name Frank Bamburg or James Hampton Bamburg - to give a hint of time line im 24 and Frank is my great grandfather and James Hampton is his father

I have some disiant relative by marriage. There is some interesting but tragic information on some Bamburgs (mentions Earlene, Melvin, and Ettress from Coushatta)on pages 78 and 79 of the book The Devil's Right Hand Man by Stephen Michuad and Debbie Price a book about serial killer Robert Charles Browne.

Would this be the person you are looking for:

Andrew D. "Ander" Bamburg, born June 1875 in Smith Co MS; in 1900 census of Smith Co MS with wife, Betty, & one child; in 1910 census of Ouachita Prsh LA with five children.

His parents were Jesse M. "Jess" Bamburg & Malinda Rawls; grandparents were John Frederick Bamburg & Sarah A. Humphries; gr-grandfather was George Bamberg; gr-gr-grandfather was John George Bamberg.

...daughter of Emaline (Anderson)Bamburg... the story is...there is indian some where associated with Emaline, we think the info is correct.

My father's name is Jarrett Aubrey Bamburg and we have also heard we were from Germany. We both have large noses :) if that helps any.

Coushatta is a really small town made ou of mostly bamburgs...most of the men are William or Fred...or some other really country names...it is the south..i was always told we are from German decent ???? heard although we have the look and nose...LOL but hit me with an email........Cool Beans......Billy :)

I am looking for any information on my grandmother, Susan Ietrice Bamburg. I believe that she was the daughter of John Daniel Bamburg and Martha Almedia "Allie" Sessions, from Red River Parrish, LA. I have found information about my grandfather, Clarence Edward "Bud" Pardue, but nowhere is hs marriage to her listed. Ietrice, as she was called by everyone, had a sister named Cuetta. Many unusual names in the family! My grandmother died at the age of 29 from a tumor in her heart. I would really appreciate any information about my grandmother, her family, or her marriage to "Bud" Pardue. Thank you in advance.

I'm a direct descendant of the Bamburgs, but I'm not certain of the exact family tree. I was born in Shreveport, LA, if you're looking for more info, my Grandma's the oldest living descendant in our family because my Grandpa just passed, I don't know her phone # off hand but a lot of the family is located in Marshal, TX just over the LA/TX border. You should ask the Fuhrmans! Vena Bamburg married my great-grandfather Emmet and they are buried at the Wren Cemetary (turn left immediately inside the main gate). Her father James Hampton and mother Ander Louiza are also buried there (on the right side of the cemetary toward the back). My mother (Ann Fuhrman) is named Andre Louisa after her. Hope this helps.
