John Richard "Jack" Banbury, 86,
of Mt. Lebanon, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008. He was born July 20, 1922 in Aurora, Ill. Son of the late Harry and Margaret Banbury; husband of the late Katherine (Englert) Banbury; loving father of John Jr., Katherine, Stephen, Anne Rielly, Mark, Matthew and Nicholas Banbury; Geyer, Gary and Kristen Kosinski; also survived by 22 grandchildren. John "Jack" graduated from Schenley High School and attended Penn State University on a football scholarship, prior to enlisting in the Army during World War II. He was the founder and owner of Banbury Equipment and a lifelong member of St. Anne Parish. Family and friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anne Church. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
