Great, Thank you for the information.
I may have uncovered one of Our Bandy's listed in your last post.
I have been researching Vandykes which married into the Bandy women after a mine explossion in Bishop virginia that Killed several Bandy men.
I noticed on one Bandy death the Informant providing family history to the hospital was a Vandyke.
So I looked for Vandykes, some that are related have a space between the Van and the Dyke part of the last name so I have been pulling up the name in both manners with and without a space between Van and Dyke.
Bandy women also married in Hatfiels and McCoys and I am still digging in this area.
I have come accoss a marriage licence listing the Mother as a Bandy but I had previously been looking for 3 women that turns =out is actually only one Bandy woman.
My computer went out as I had just come accross is and I am trying to relocated that marriage document.
She had a name something like Virginia rebeccaa Ruth and used one first name then used another then the other and trhis has been keeping me in a confussed state and going in circles.
Death certificates under other sernames has provided some new insights on my Bandy line.
Email me at
Lilly_Rose@comcast.net and we can exchange information and perhaps piece these people together.
Also the surname Mitchel or Mitchell.
Thanks for contacting me. I look forward to comparing our notes.
