Not sure if there is a connection here, but my great-great-grandmother was Susan Ann Bane (born December 22, 1852 in Hampshire West Virginia and died April 4, 1887 in Ellsworth, McLean, Illinois) she married George L. Hoover (born August 30, 1832 Woodstock, Shenandoah, Virginia died April 29, 1916 Ellsworth, McLean, Illinois). Since Susan Ann Bane died in IL, depending on when Benjamin died they might be related.
