My grandfather was William Andrew Bane of Arkansas and then Oklahoma. His father was Benjamin Franklin Bane born in 1862 Henderson North Carolina, he married Lucinda Massey 1859 to 1930 in Stone Co. Arkansas and died 1933 in Arkansas. Benjamin is buried at Angora Cementary in Oxley, AR. I can find no record of my Bane line beyond Benjamin. A cousin told me that W. A. Bane had once told her that his grandfather was killed for refusing to fight for slavery. Can you help me? I would very much appreciate it. Thank you, Janice Lancaster~janslanding@hotmail.com
