Hello, I am currently researching some VA Banes as well. You wouldn't happen to know if your William Bane had any brothers named Thomas, do you? My 3rd great grandfather was Henry Bane, b. 1819 in VA, and as far as I can tell, his parents were Thomas Bane and Barbara Anna Criner. Sometime before he turned 23 and got married, he moved to Ohio.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, as I can't seem to get any more information regarding Henry's father other than his name.
