Nancy Catherine Thrush (b 6/15/1811 Hampshire County VA died ??) parents were John Thrush (b 1768 PA died 1847 or 1848) and Anna Margaret Miller (b 4/8/1774 d ??? VA). Anna Margaret Miller is also listed as Margaret Miller. They were married on 6/18/1795 Tohickon, Bucks PA. In addition to having Nancy Catherine, they had a daughter named Margaret Thrush (b 1/7 or 1/8 1807 Hampshire County VA d 1889). I don’t know how many other children John and Margaret had.

Margaret Thrush got married on 2/23/1828 to George Bane (b 1787 PA d 1852 VA). This was George’s second marriage.

George’s parents were Jesse Bane (b 3/19/1755 Goshen, Chester PA d 7/3/1831 Hampshire County VA) and Margaret (last name unknown) (b 4/16/1756 PA d 12/7/1838 Hampshire VA). Jesse’s parents were William Bane (1717 PA - 1801 PA) + Margaret Elizabeth Evans (1723 PA- 1801 PA).

George begat Jesse Bane (b 11/3/1814 d 1888 Maryland) from his first marriage to Ann Bane (b 7/26/1789 Berkeley VA d 11/5/1818 Hampshire County VA). This Jesse Bane then got married to Nancy Catherine Thrush on 3/10/1836.

Ann’s parents were Abner Bane (b 8/1/1761 Goshen, Chester PA died ?) and Rachel Simmons (b 1763 PA died ?). Abner’s parents were William Bane (1717 PA - 1801 PA) + Margaret Elizabeth Evans (1723 PA- 1801 PA). Since Jesse (George’s dad) was Abner’s brother, that makes Ann George’s first cousin.

So that means, Margaret Thrush was Jesse’s step mom, right? So Jesse got married to his step-mother’s sister? Am I getting this right???
