Looking for information on the roots of this family:

Eugean Bang b. August 1866 in Jackson Co., MS. Married Rebecca Sterling in Jackson Co. on September 10, 1887. Their children included:

Sam Henry b. 1887; Alonzo (Lonie) b. 1889; Ernest b. 1894; William Westley b. 1898; Enoch b. 1900; Ollie b. 1903; James Madison b. 1907; Truman b. 1909; Lydiann b. 1913; and Jacob b. 1915. All but Truman, Lydiann, and Jacob were born in Mississippi; they were born in Louisiana.

Sometime after the 1920 census, the family went from using BANG to using BANGS as a surname - don't know why. Ernest is the only one who continued to use BANG.

Does anyone connect to this family? Am desperately trying to find out the roots of this family.
