Howdy:

My Great Grandmother was born "Johanne Kristine Hansen de Bang" on Feb. 4, 1846 in Denmark.

I can trace the Bang tribe back to 1480 and possibly a generation prior to that.

Do you see a connection here?

There was a branch of the Bang tribe that went to Norway and eventually to the States. Maybe you're part of that branch.
