Hello relative! The extent of my knowledge of the Bania ancestry is that Walter Bania first immigrated here from Poland. His family ran a grocery store in Chicago (or so I understand it) until it burned down. Perhaps this was the bourding house that you mentioned (I may have misunderstood my grandmother). After this some of them moved to Wisconsin. One of the sons, Richard (my grandfather) married Teresa Kayler. They bought a farm and raised my father, uncles, and aunt. Do you know any of them by chance? Jimmy, Ricky, Kenny (my dad), Randy and Cindy. They had another daughter who was killed in a car accident as an infant.
