JOHN BANKUS - The Rev. Haven Martin will officiate at services for John Ad Bankus, 95, a 43-year resident of Nevada City, at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bergemann and Son Funeral Chapel. The native of Missouri was a retired self-employed carpenter. He died Wednesday in the Nevada City home of his daughter, Alice Anson. In addition to Mrs. Anson he is survived by his children: Marie Miller of Grass Valley; Margaret Milnarich, Nevada City; Lloyd Bankus, Concord; Leroy Bankus, Marysville; Eta Richards, Grass Valley; and Berniece Moffett, Lincoln; a brother, Clarence Bankus of Illinois; 25 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Burial will be in Vallejo.
