Hi there,

My Great-great-grandfather was Charles Tobias Baptiste who was born in Tobago in 1851. He worked as a Ship's Cook to earn his passage to Glasgow, Scotland where he married Jemima Young. Charles was the son of John Baptiste and Grace Burke, both of whom stayed in Tobago, John worked as a Cooper and I have no idea what Grace did.

I would be grateful for any information anybody has as I have quite a bit on the Baptiste's in Scotland but nothing before that.
