It has been a long, long time, but I put together a little bit of information about the Trauty-Baquol Gum Company. The Baquol was Sophia Baquol who was married to Charles Baquol. She appears to be the candymaker and he managed the business. After Charles died about 1907, my gr.grandfather Henry Trauty and Sophia Baquol teamed up. The company appears in the Baltimore City Directory in 1908. Henry was the president of the company so I assume Sophia had more baking/cooking skills. They were in business at least through 1924.
