Hi!
Yes, we are related. Was the gravesite at Templeton Cemetery? There's a service there every year. Some of my Langford and Peterkin families are in that cemetery.
Anyway, Billy Barber was my 2nd ggrandfather's nephew. His sister was Ann Langford, Billy's mother. Billy's cousin, Flora, was married to John Harris. John Harris was Samantha's brother. Because I live near Vancouver now I visited John's gravesite at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby a couple of years ago.
I've been desperately trying to find out more about Ann Langford's mother. Family story is that she was Lady Ann Warren and that she ran away with the gardener. Well, Samuel Langford was a gardener but it doesn't appear she "ran away". They were married by banns in Shropshire England. I've found some of Samuel's family but no sign of the Warren family.
Do you know Brenda Turner? I'm related to her a generation back through the McDonald family and also through a great uncle Silas Peterkin who married Mary Ann Turner.
