I am looking for a connection between the fam; Dobson and Barbier in Germany or France. Last known connection was in Lahr Germany. 1978(9)Canadian Soldier W.Dobson married there with Marylou Barbier in 1977.

Looking for any information on Jacques Barbier. His wife was Anne Verron and they had a son Jean Marie Barbier. Jean married Hyacinthe Reguillet and they had a daughter named Jeanne. If anyone has any information on these Barbier's I would love to talk to you. Jacques may have been married twice.

Hi, I am looking for information on a Charles P. Barbier, who married into the Yankton Sioux tribe in South Dakota. He is my ancestor and was born in France in 1833 (according to various sources either Besancon or Abbeville). He was Protestant and claimed to have survived a massacre of Protestants in his village and then his family moved to Paris. He was accompanied to America by two siblings including one sister named Louise. His father served in Napoleon's army (so it is said in our family stories) and could not follow his son to America because he would lose his army pension.

I am looking for information about Anthon von Barbier (Anthony Barbour) I believe his father to be George Barbier,but could be wrong. Anthon was born in Germany around 1849. He came to the US at the age of 16, and worked in Terre Haute, IN. He married Tillie Headley and had several children all born around the Terre Haute, IN. area.

Does anyone have any information regarding Louise Barbier? Louise allegedly came to the US from Paris via New Orleans in the late 1800s. She married Richard Van Loo from Gent, Belgium. We are just starting to research the family history, but it appears that these are our great-great grandparents. Any help you can provide would be apppreciated.
