I am researching the Drakely/Drakeley line and ran accross Professor Herbert Drakely Bard (b. abt 1869, New Hampshire). I believe him to be the son of George Ingersoll Bard and Jerusha Gould Parker. What I can not figure out is where he got the Drakely middle name. In my family line, Drakely shows up as middle name in the famale branches. I have yet to find this connection. My Drakely line came from Connecticut and I haven't found a connection there to the Bard family. I am hoping someone may know the connection.
