Hi-- My grandmother Alma Bardin Evans'grandfather was Henry Horn Bardin, brother of James Bardin who married Lucinda Walker. I have a typed transcription of "Uncle Jimmy's" diary that he kept in 1855, while traveling across on the wagon train to Montery County. No idea what happened to the original, but if you like, I can copy this and send it to you. Also, I would really like to have any info you have on the Bardin's going back to Jacob Bardin in NC. Does your wife know that James Bardin, son of Jacob and Sarah was a Corporal in the Revolutionary War? Let me know if you want a copy of this diary.
