Hi Simon

Have spent most of the last two evening piecing together the Bardney Tree. I believe that you and your family are descended from William Bardney & Elizabeth Dring via their son William and grandson Richard. Richard was a school teacher who settled in Wheatley around 1900.

I have found 8 kids so far between 1900 & 1908.

You are Simon P, have a brother Mark A, your dad is Dennis and mum Anne M and a couple of years ago all lived in Stapleton Road, Warmsworth.

What's my interest? Well you are all descended from Elizabeth Dring. I am part of the Dring tree too and have loads of info which you are welcome to.

Please let me know how you fit in. My home e-mail is philgstevens@ntlworld.com

Cheers

Phil

Leeds

Hi Phil

I've just found your posting about the BARDNEY family.

I am descended from William and Elizabeth Bardney (Dring) through their daughter, Elizabeth Ann Gardener (Bardney, born abt 1829).

Elizabeth Ann left S. Witham to work as a dom servant at Keythorpe Hall, Tugby, Leics. She is shown there on the 1851 Census.

She married George John Gardener, a Gentleman's Coachman, at St Pancras Old Church in 1856. He originated in Herts but his fparents moved around London from at least 1851 in Regents Park then Paddington (1871 Census). Their first child, Harriet, was born in Tugby in 1857 but their other 3 were born in London.

Happy hunting
Pat
