John Barge was born in 1845 in Buckingham and married Kate Sarah Humphrey. I have some information about both families (see www.groserfamilies.com) but would be keen to compare notes.

George Barge-Martha Larson of St. James, MN

This couple was wed in St. James, MN, in 1895. She was dau of Margaret Kennedy and Peter Larson, born in England. What happened to her? Husband died in St. James in 1940. Did Martha move away? I'm also interested in her parents. Her mother, born in Ireland about 1850, was a widow when she wed Joseph Savage in St. James, 1896. They purportedly were divorced. Where and when did Margaret and Peter Larson die? No records in Watonwan County. Peter Larson was born in Norway.

I am an African American BArges. I live in Dallas, but my siblings all live in Louisiana. My father was named Comie, and he had a brother named William, and a sister ( still living) named Alice Ward. My paternal grandfather was named MArtin and he was married to Estelle. My father died in 1974 so I don't have a lot of info. He did tell us something about his grandmother being Irish. He also had fair skin and green eyes, and he said that his parents were from Tennessee. If you have any links to my story please contact me.
