Our family is trying to locate ANY information regarding an ancestor by the name of LEVI BARGAHISER. He was born in 1791 in PA. Approx. 1803 he became a bound boy for a gentleman by the name of Martin Ruffner (from VA) and they all moved to Ohio. In 1811
Levi survived an indian massacre that took the life of Martin. We speculate that after the massacre, the family (including LEVI) moved to VA. Levi then served in the War of 1812 in regiment from VA. At some point he married Susanna Eshelman and eventually moved to Ohio and raised their family. It has also been told that he had a brother named Jacob.

We speculate that the name got changed sometime while he was a bound boy. If you have any ideas where we should search or anyone to contact we would be MOST appreciative.
