Hi, hope you are still around.
I have a John Barman born abt 1838, Mariner, father is Stephen BARMAN, Labourer. John married H STREET in Essex in 1868. He died in Maldon Essex in 1874. I can only find BARMAN's in Kent. So im presuming that John came from there.

Does any of this fit into your research.
