      <description>I'm researching my wife's family, and am stuck&lt;br&gt;on her GGGrandfather, Reuben Truman Barnard. &lt;br&gt;He was born in Allegany Co. NY in 1825, moving&lt;br&gt;to Iowa, then Wisconsin, and finally to Oregon.&lt;br&gt;I have census records, death certificate, and other&lt;br&gt;documentation, but have not been able to find birth&lt;br&gt;records or anything naming his parents. Family lore&lt;br&gt;has it his father was a french trapper on the Great&lt;br&gt;Lakes.       <description>I've found the will of an Edward Barnard, from July 1776, in which he names his son James as the executor of his will.  Granted the information that we have is that James Barnard was born in 1765-1775, making him too young to be the executor of a will.  But, could this James be his father?  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In other words, grandson, father and son would have come down to Georgia from Massachusetts?  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Edward names two other children, "John" and "Sarah."       <title>Edward Barnard - family of Silversmiths - London</title>

      <description>Is anyone researching the Barnards who were silversmiths in London in the 18th/19th centuries? (In fact the company, Edward Barnard &amp;amp; sons still exists today). My husband's great x 3 grandfather was Edward Barnard (silversmith, b. c1807) who married Sarah Gooch and had 7 children (Harriet, Edward, Emily, Charles, Walter, Joseph and Richard). I think Edward may have been the grandson of the original Edward Barnard whom the company was named after. I am trying to establish the names of his parents (possibly Nathaniel &amp;amp; Elizabeth) and grandparents. I would be grateful if anyone at all is able to help. I have not been able to find the marriage of Edward and Sarah - their first child, Harriet, was born in 1834.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Many thanks. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Helen </description>

      <description>I am desparetly hoping that someone could help me identify a David Barnard who married a Pheby Ferguson in 1823 in Sumner County, TN. I thinking that this Pheby Ferguson could have been a sister to my Anderson Barnard who married Nancy Barnard. Nancy was a daughter of Zadock Barnard who later moved in Greene County, Il. I can find no trace of this David and Pheby. There is several Barnards in Sumner County in 1805-1834 but cannot identify who this David Barnard belongs to and what happened to them. The Tattnall County native had lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church of Starke, FL. She is preceded in death by a son, Scott DeLoach. She is survived by, Husband, Roy DeLoach of Ludowici; son and daughter- in-law, Roy Jr., and Vicki DeLoach of Ludowici; grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held at the Graveside, 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Pigot Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Long County, GA. Patrica Barnard was a daughter of D.L. Barnard &amp;amp; Mary Ann Weitman, granddaughter of Herman Foster Bernard &amp;amp; Della Mae Cribbs. </description>

      <description>I am attempting to identify descendants of Selah-6 (Edward-5, Edward-4, Joseph Jr.-3, Joseph-2, Francis-1) Barnard, born ca. 1770 Windsor, Hartford CT.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In the 1820 federal census, he has 3 male children less than 10 years of age, plus two female childen.  He seems to disappear for the 1830 census, but then a Selah Barnard is first enumerated in the 1840 census, Buffalo, NY; he has 3 male children now 20 to less than 30 years, along with 2 female children.  This Buffalo Selah is listed as being between 50 and less than 60 years of age, rather than the expected 70, but this could be an error. This latter Selah also is listed in the 1832 Buffalo city directory.  Notwithstanding Stiles' suggestion that the Windsor Selah is probably the Selah that died in 1838, I strongly suspect that Selah removed to New York and was residing in Buffalo in 1832 and for the 1840 census.  I haven't located an appropriate Selah Barnard in the 1850 census, and have no names of the children from the earlier censuses to follow through on. Barnard (married) of Buffalo, New York is listed among the dead in a train accident.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway Train No. 5, The Pacific Express left a snowy Erie, Pennsylvania on the afternoon of December 29, 1876. As The Pacific Express plowed through the snow and crossed a bridge over the Ashtabula River, about 100 yards from the railroad station at Ashtabula, Ohio, the passengers heard a terrible cracking sound. In just seconds, the bridge fractured and the train plunged 70 feet into a watery abyss.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;I am not related to this family, just passing on this information which comes from a website called "Ashtabula Bridge Disaster."       <description>I come from a long line of Barnards from the Newington/Surrey area (now London). Most of these Barnards were Jewish Umbrella makers!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I recently found out Frederick Barnard (my Great Great Grandfather) was murdered (shot 7 times) by Jewish antiques dealer Issac Marks in 1876. What was just as shocking was the fact that he apparently left 13 children! I can only account for 8 of them: Issac (my Great Grandfather), Elizabeth, Helen, Henry, Harry, Lillian, Caroline and Louis.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After Frederick was murdered, his Wife Hannah married Jack Barrett. I believe that after Hannah died in 1907 Jack married Frederick and Hannah's daughter Caroline.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It's an interesting story, I hope that you are part of it.</description>

I believe one died in combat and 2 settled there.       <description>I am stumped and hoping someone can get me out of this brick wall I have found.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Charles Edward Barnard married Lucy Lamb on 28 Nov 1889 in Vermilion Couny IL, they had two children Clarence and Lawrence. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Lucy then Married my G-Grandfather Benjamin Clyde Baldwin and had 3 more children, FLorence, Benjamin F., and Bertha.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I dont know if it is curisoity or what , but I found a Marriage license or information that there was one issued to Charles Barnard, with the same parents, age fits etc he got married in Vermilion County IN 26 Jul 1898, I see that the counties are next to each other in the neighboring states. (Source is Vermilion County, In Index to Supplemental Marriage Transcripts found here on Ancestry)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Was there such a thing as Divorce back in the 1800's? Where would I find this information?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I need this to figure out about when Lucy married my G-GRandfather as I have several dates that have been given to me. Wouldnt be so hard if my father hadnt been so stubborn and told me its none of my business or told me "white lies" etc before he died this year. He took a lot to his grave with him.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Any help or guidance is appreciated&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Christine</description>

      <description>I have an original studio photograph of “Glendora Barnard Harms and Aunt Kathe Barnard Nellinger”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in about 1895, by M. H. Pfaffle Studio, in Minonk, IL.  Minonk is in Woodford Co. and Glendora looks to be about 18-20 years old. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I found Glendora Barnard in the 1880 census, age 3, in Minonk, IL, daughter of Peter and Della Barnard.  In 1910 census, Glendora was 33, living with husband “Harium E. Hames” in Ralls Co., MO, with daughter Dellouise, age 1; and in 1920, she was Glendore, 43, wife of Hiram E. Harms, 43, with Dellouise, age 11, living in Morgan Co., IL.  By 1930, all 3 lived in Rochelle (Ogle Co.)       <description>Looking for info about Elizabeth Brand BARNARD, nee Adams, baptised at Great Waltham 2/5/1825 daughter of Samuel Adams, miller and farmer, and his wife Mary nee BRAND (who came from Thaxted). Married 24/9/1846 at Gt Dunmow to Wyatt BARNARD, farmer of Little Canfield, son of John Barnard. Wyatt appears to have died 1856. I know of three children of the marriage, Mary Elizabeth, aged 11 at 1861 census, Fanny Jane (8) and Wyatt Henry (5).In 1881 Elizabeth was living and farming at "Olives", Great Dunmow, Mary and Fanny were living with her, unmarried, but Wyatt junior was living as a boarder in Kensington, London. Elizabeth seems to have died 12/1887 apparently never remarried. I would be very grateful for any info re what happened to her children and any later descendants. Her father Samuel Adams once owned the site of my house, hence my interest. &lt;br&gt;</description>

She was a decendant of Sir William Barnard who came to America from Britain before the American Revolution and founded a colony at Marblehead, Massachusetts. Fannie married Adin Laflin abt 1867 and they had one child, Emma (b. 1868). She died when Emma was only 3 years old in 1870.       <title>Maria Barnard family, from where to Rush Co. Indiana</title>

      <description>My great-grandmother was Maria Barnard. The rest of the crew came from Nantucket thru North Carolina and I figured her ancestors came also from there.  I just started searching her line and she is located in Rush Co. Indiana. There are Barnards there also.  Haven't been able to locate her parents, but she got married in 1837 to Obed Worth.  Anybody with information, it would be greatly appreciated.  I heard they were from the Creek nation.</description>

      <title>Brothers Brazilla and Jessee Barnard/Bernard</title>

      <description>Looking for any information on two Barnard brothers. Brazilla Barnard/Bernard started a small store in Parker Co. Texax in about 1870. The name of the store was later changed to Agnes, Texas. Wife of Brazilla was Mattise Morris Barnard and they had children: Mattie married to George Ashwander; Laura marrided to Dr. James W. Hicks; Ida May married to Wilbert Peterson; Mary C. "Mollie" married to Harry Webb; Minnie married to real estate fellow in Claredon, Texas and a boy known as "Bud". There might have also been a daugher Ufamy Ellen married to Burgess Hansford Smith. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Brother Jessee Barnard was in Pulaski Co. Missouri in 1870 and was married to Sylvania Bench.They had children: William, Elizabeth, Alexander, Emiline. I believe Sylvania died between 1875 and 1880 and in 1880 Jessee is in Sebastian County Arkansas with the children. I think he later moved to Parker Co. where he was living in 1910. I think daughter Elizabeth married Benjamin Wright Franklin and they moved near Duncan, OK where she died in 1923.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I think my grandmother, Eliza Ellen Morris b. 1863, and her brother Jim may have been raised by one of these Barnard families after the death of their parents in about 1870 and would like to hear from any one who has any knowldege of these Barnard families.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <title>Question on Amesbury Thomas Barnard line</title>

      <description>Question on the Amesbury Thomas Barnard (my 8th generation g grandfather) line below. According to the Life and Times in Hopkinton, published 1890, Thomas' Great Grandson Nathaniel, was married to Ruth French. I've seen several genealogies that had Nathaniel married to Elizabeth Martain. I know it's the Nathaniel mentioned in the Life and Times of Hopkinton because the birth dates are the same as found on web genealogies. Was Nathaniel married twice? Can anyone shed any light on the subject?       <description>The Glennville Sentinel&lt;br&gt;Glennville, GA&lt;br&gt;March 2, 2006 (Page 6)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Belinda "Lindy" Barnard, 56, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at her residence.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville all her life.  She was retired from Glennville Lingerie Factory, and a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church.  She was prededed in death by her parents, Harold and Ena Barnard.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She is survived by sisters and brother-in-law, Bobby Kicklighter and Suzanne and Herman Gordy, all of Jesup; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Essie Ruth Barnard of Glennville; and several nieces and nephews.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 24, at Carter Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating.  Burial was in Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Pallbearers were Denver Barrow, Glenn Smith, Robert Dubberly, Fred Dubberly, Jerome Lynn, Bill Lynn, Arlease Lynn, and LeRoy Purcell.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Carter Funeral Chapel of Glennville, GA was in charge of the arrangements.</description>
