I am Anthony Pace, grandson of Rosa Barner, Aunt of William Sr. We are 2nd cousins, once-removed. I have an extensive tree, and do not have a John Barner listed as one of Sr's brothers. However I DO know that sometimes the lines aren't always straight. William's Parents were Nathan Barner and Ester Davis. Was there a different mom? If so, I can add them to the tree. William does have brothers and maybe a sister alive. I will contact the one I have email for and ask about John.
