Greetings,
The father is Aaron Barnes however, he died in February of 1845. The name of the hotel is "The Indian Queen".
Aaron Barnes was also one of the first county constables elected when Roanoke County was formed from Botetourt County and he also served as a State Legislator from 1843 - 1844. He resigned shortly before he died, indicating there was some sort of illness involved.
My wife is descended from John Thomas Barnes who was actually about 12 at the time of the 1850 census, so take the ages there for the children as very general.
The Indian Queen was on Main Street in the town of Salem which became the county seat of Roanoke.
I'd love to compare notes with others on this family.
