My name is Kelly Sue Barnette, Bennett. My dad was John Edward Barnette II. He was born to John Edward Barnette and Willie Sue Hunt, Barnette. On July 18, 1926 in Eman, S.C. He was the only boy to them, he had three sisters. Katherine Barnette, Edith Barnette, and Frances Barnette. I don't know much about my grandparents and would like to find more out about them. I know my grandfather had been married before my grandmother and had other children from that marriage. They were Irish. I heard they changed their name from Barney to Barnette. My father served in the Navy in WWII on the USS Dyson. He lived in Virginia, Michigan, and Minnesota, and passed away in Wisconsin. My dad was married before my mother and had three daughters, Diane, Becky, and Kathy. Then married my mother and had four kids, Deborah, myself, John III, and Douglas (Keith).
